How can we help?
Email hello@alpmap.com for help with the map, your account or the iPhone beta.
Report a problem
For a concern about another account, email hello@alpmap.com with only the details needed to explain it. In Friends, Stop sharing ends your location sharing; Remove friend revokes Friends access between the two accounts in both directions. These controls are separate from reporting the concern to us.
Tell us what you were trying to do, what happened and whether you were online or offline. Include your iPhone model and iOS version, or your browser and device for a website issue. Your app version and build are included in Your account → Share diagnostics.
You can also use our feedback form. A screenshot can help, but crop out private names, routes and locations. Never send a password or sign-in link.
If the map stops responding, reopen Alpmap and send us the details. Keep the app installed: uninstalling can remove local drafts and downloaded maps. We do not need you to reset your account or delete a route to report a problem.
What works offline?
The iPhone beta offers downloads inside a bounded area around Verbier, Bruson and Mont Fort, including Rosablanche. In Your account → Offline maps → Choose an area, select a square from 1 × 1 km to 9 × 9 km within the marked coverage. Switzerland-wide downloads are not available yet.
Use Wi-Fi and wait until the area says Ready offline. Choose Open map to check the saved files before leaving reception. Detailed terrain and aerial imagery are available inside your saved square; the lower-detail surroundings are an overview. Open the route you need before leaving: your current local plan is available offline, but the cloud route library is not downloaded.
New downloads show approximately 2 m terrain spacing and 0.5 m imagery. Terrain spacing describes the distance between samples, not positioning or height accuracy. Fine features may look less defined than on the online 3D map. Older downloads can show approximately 8 m terrain; check each area's detail label.
Each area has a 450 MiB limit, with a shared 1 GiB download budget on the phone, subject to free space. The app shows the size before downloading and reuses overlapping files where possible. Incomplete downloads are not ready for offline use.
3D buildings, the slope overlay and winter imagery are not included. Friends updates, account services, cloud-saved routes, online search and remote elevation services need a connection. Offline GPS movement, downloads while locked or in the background, and longer field use are still being tested; do not assume an incomplete download has finished.
Alpmap is a planning tool. Imagery does not show current snow or trail conditions, and a displayed route does not establish access or safety. Check current official information and local conditions, and keep a separate copy of plans you need. Read the map and data limitations.
Accounts and deletion
Use the same email address on the website and iPhone to access your saved routes. If a sign-in email does not arrive, check junk mail and confirm the address you entered. Email us if you still cannot sign in; do not forward the sign-in link.
To request deletion, sign in on iPhone, open Your account → Delete account and confirm. This requests removal of your Alpmap account, saved routes, Friends profile and friendships, and linked Garmin records. Sharing stops when the server accepts the request. Deletion is completed within seven days and confirmed by email, subject to any explained legal retention exception.
If you cannot access that control, contact hello@alpmap.com from your account email. We may need to verify ownership. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. See your privacy choices for access, correction, export and deletion requests, including backup and previously shared-copy limitations.
iPhone beta access
Open Request iPhone beta access, verify your email and submit the separate request. Requests are reviewed manually; signing in or accepting a friend invitation does not guarantee a TestFlight invitation. Features can differ by app version and pilot eligibility.
If an approved invitation is missing or no longer works, email us using the address on your request. After installing Alpmap, reopen the original friend invitation or ask its sender for a fresh one if it has expired.
Subscriptions and billing
Subscription billing is not live. Offline downloads currently have no payment gate in the beta. Paid offline downloads are being prepared for the first public release. Prices, included features and billing terms will be shown before you subscribe; no public launch price has been set.
For a billing question, contact hello@alpmap.com. Do not send payment-card details.
Helping us investigate
Share diagnostics prepares a small technical report on your iPhone, with app and iOS versions, event counts and rendering settings. It does not include your locations, routes, names, photos or sign-in links. It is not uploaded automatically: you choose whether to send it using the share sheet.
Automatic error and release-health reporting is separate. Record a problem is an optional diagnostic recording of up to ten minutes, with a visible indicator and Stop control. Recording is configured to mask text, inputs and images and hide map views. Physical-iPhone masking and provider-playback checks are still being completed. You can use Alpmap and send the local technical report without starting a recording.
Stop ends new recording; already-captured data may finish uploading. Read what diagnostics collect and how recording works before choosing it.
